OBA.

Building technology that creates opportunities across Africa.

I believe technology is more than software. It is a tool capable of changing lives, creating businesses, solving everyday problems and opening doors for people who never had access before.

As a Computer Science student and technology professional, my work is centered on building practical digital solutions that help businesses grow while contributing to a stronger future for Nigeria and the African continent.

01 — About

Who is OBA?

A short introduction to the person behind the work.

My name is Olamiposi Bisiriyu Abubakr, widely known as OBA.

I am a Nigerian technology professional currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Westland University, Iwo, Osun State. I was born in Oyo State and grew up in Lagos, where I developed resilience, curiosity and a deep appreciation for innovation, diversity and continuous learning.

My journey into technology started with a simple curiosity about how ideas become real products. That curiosity gradually became an obsession with solving problems. Today, I dedicate my time to designing digital experiences, building intelligent systems, creating websites, automating business processes and studying how technology can create sustainable economic opportunities across Africa.

Beyond code, I care about how ideas travel — how a team collaborates, how a message lands, how a decision compounds. I read widely, listen carefully, and try to simplify complex ideas so more people can act on them. I believe the next generation of African innovators should not simply consume technology. We should build it.

03 — Why I Build

Every line of code
should solve a real problem.

My goal isn't simply to become another software engineer. I want to become someone whose work empowers entrepreneurs, supports communities, creates jobs and inspires young Africans to believe they can build world-class technology from home.

Technology should reduce barriers — not create them. The tools I ship, the systems I automate and the interfaces I design are all measured against a single question: did this make someone's day meaningfully better?

Leadership Philosophy

Leadership starts with service.

I believe leadership is not a title. It is the practice of creating opportunities, solving problems, empowering people and setting an example through consistent action. The best leaders I've studied are quiet operators who make everyone around them sharper.

Communication

Ideas matter only when they are understood.

I value clear writing, careful listening and thoughtful presentation. The best idea in the world loses value if it cannot be explained — so I keep working on how I speak, how I write, and how I turn complexity into something a room can act on.

The future I envision goes far beyond personal success.

I want to contribute to a generation of African builders who develop technology capable of solving local challenges with global standards.
